Women’s hope for change is an organization working under improving the livelihoods and health status of single mothers living with HIV. Through this project the beneficiaries are empowered one coin a time thanks to Egmont trust savings turn into strength through the initiative of village saving loans, business management.

Hence building brighter futures and strengthening livelihood through savings and unity and also turning trash to treasure: through compost that grows change promoting sustainable farming with compost power..

The activity targeted 60 participants involving Changing Agents(Sex workers), Teen mothers, Single mothers and Victims of Gender Based Violence. WHFC conducted the assessment before coming up with this activity, aimed at finding out why most women and teen mothers are lagging behind economically. During the assessment exercise it was revealed that 90% of women who participated in this exercise are doing their level best to combat poverty and hunger through business but the major hindrance is lack of skills on Village Savings and Loans, (VSL), Business Management and Financial Management.

This is one of the activities Women’s Hope for Change initiated at the center of Mavwere where the TA Mavwere, the Council Chair, Office In Charge of Police at Namizana, Social Welfare, Chiefs from Mavwere were present at the site. This milestone is achieved through spreading awareness to where the people witnessing the violence can report and feel the ownership of the community’s ability to question those perpetrating violence.

Compost Manure Making has proven to be a very effective training towards the women in TA Nyoka, they are able to produce more yields even during the high prices of fertilizer of which they can not manage.

DAK international network funded women’s hope for change in the project investing in women. Through the training of village savings and loans women are now able to build houses, pay school fees and feed their children and strive through poverty constraints

Training funded by DAK international on Investing in women on their health. In the journey of fighting on malnutrition women were taught on making nutritious porridge which invloves soya, beans,groungnuts and maize of which they are locally available in their communities.
